Description

Grapefruit agua fresca is the perfect thirst-quencher for warm days, combining the tangy sweetness of fresh grapefruit with a refreshing splash of water.


Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe grapefruits (about 2 cups juice)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 24 tablespoons agave syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Juice the grapefruits until you have about 2 cups of juice. Strain to remove pulp if desired.
  2. In a blender, combine grapefruit juice and 4 cups of cold water. Adjust water for desired flavor strength.
  3. Add agave syrup or honey and blend until well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  4. Mix in freshly squeezed lime juice and blend again.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
  6. Serve over ice in tall glasses, garnished with mint leaves or grapefruit slices.
